How to find Failand & Portbury CC

DIRECTIONS
From the M5 come off at the Gordano services exit and take the second left direction Bristol and Clifton. Go 30 yards only and then hang a right, direction Portbury. Go past the church on the right and at the bollards follow the road round hard left. Go on 200 yards until the road forks. Take the left fork which is Failand Lane. Follow for 2 miles, rising all the while until you hit a T junction. to the left is Failand Church but you go right into Horse Race Lane. Follow the lane until you see the cricket ground on the left. If you go on past, you hit the main Bristol to Clevedon road. Turn round and come back.
From Bristol take the A370 over the Cumberland Basin, direction Weston-super-Mare. Just outside Bristol, bear off left taking the road towards Clevedon. Go past Ashton Court on the right and climb the hill. At the top go straight on past playing fields to left and right, all the while heading towards Clevedon. Go through the bollards at Failand outside the Off-Licence (shop) and you see the Failand Inn on your left. Go on 100 yards and hang a right into the narrow entrance into Horse Race Lane. The ground is down the lane a bit on your right.
From Clevedon take the main road towards Bristol. go through Tickenham and up onto the long straight road. Go past The Downs School on your left. The long straight ends and you go into a long S-bend. Immediately afterwards on the left is the narrow entrance to Horse Race Lane. Hang a left here (if you see the Failand Inn you have gone too far). Go on down the lane a bit and the ground is on your right.
From Barrow Gurney/Congresbury come up Belmont Hill. When you hit the bottom of the Failand triangle, bear left and follow the left hand side of the triangle till you hit the main Bristol to Clevedon road. Go left, past the Failand Inn on your left and 100 yards later hang a right into the narrow entrance to Horse Race Lane (if you are still on the main road, get onto a long straight and eventually see The Downs School on your right, you have gone too far and must do a Uie) .Go down Horse Race Lane and the ground is on your right.
